Your Bed Position for Good Feng Shui
How to Arrange Your Bed for Good Feng Shui in the Bedroom
❤ Bed Head Direction
Avoid Facing West:
The sun sets in the west, and the Earth rotates from east to west. Sleeping with your head pointing west over time may cause blood to rush upward, leading to potential health issues. In Feng Shui, a west-facing bed is also associated with heading toward the "Western Paradise" (a metaphor for the afterlife), which is considered inauspicious.

Recommended North-South Alignment:
It is best to position the bed facing north-south to align with the Earth’s magnetic field, which benefits your health. In the human circulatory system, the direction of the aorta and the main veins aligns with the head-to-foot orientation. When you sleep in a north-south direction, your body's position aligns with the Earth's magnetic lines, making it easier to fall asleep and improving sleep quality.
❤ Bed Placement
Avoid Facing the Door:
If the bed is directly facing the main door or the bedroom door, it is considered "door collision" in Feng Shui. The door is the primary passage, and sleeping in this position may cause restlessness, nightmares, or even hallucinations. It also compromises privacy and security.

Avoid Being Too Close to Windows:
Windows are pathways for energy flow. Having the bedhead too close to the window may cause energetic clashes. When lying in bed, you cannot see the window above your head, which can lead to feelings of insecurity and mental tension, affecting your health. Additionally, the strong airflow and light from windows can disrupt sleep and energy preservation.
Avoid Beams Overhead:
If there are exposed beams on the ceiling above the bed, it can create a sense of pressure, leading to mental stress that may harm both health and career. Similarly, hanging chandeliers or installing split air conditioners directly above the bedhead is not recommended.
The Bed Head Should Rest Against a Wall:
The bedhead should be placed firmly against a wall to provide a sense of security. If the bedhead is exposed, it may cause anxiety, suspicion, and mental distraction, affecting both health and career. If the bed cannot be placed against a wall, a solid bedhead is essential to prevent the feeling of the head being unsupported. The wall behind the bed should not back onto a bathroom or kitchen.
Avoid Having Empty Space on All Sides of the Bed:
It is better to position the bed in a corner of the bedroom, with as many sides as possible against walls. This symbolizes strong support and implies that the occupant has helpful people in their life, which is beneficial for career and wealth.
❤ Surrounding Environment
Mirrors Should Not Face the Bed:
Mirrors have reflective energy. If they face the bed, they can reflect negative energy into the bedroom. Additionally, waking up at night and suddenly seeing your reflection in the mirror can be startling and cause anxiety.
Minimize Electronics Near the Bed:
Having too many electronic devices in the bedroom creates what is known as a "fire house" in Feng Shui, which can negatively affect health. Feet are considered the second heart in the body. If a TV in standby mode directly faces your feet, the radiation may disrupt the energy flow and blood circulation in your legs.
The Bathroom Door Should Not Face the Bed:
In Feng Shui, bathrooms are associated with the water element and are considered heavy in yin energy. If the bathroom door directly faces the bed, it can cause dampness and negatively affect the bedroom’s air quality. This may lead to back pain and place extra strain on the kidneys' detoxification functions.
