Pixiu, according to legend, is the ninth son of the dragon. Ancient texts record that it was rewarded with the title "Tian Lu" (meaning "heavenly fortune") for its contributions in battle alongside the Yellow Emperor. As one of the five auspicious mythical creatures in Chinese tradition—alongside the dragon, phoenix, tortoise, and qilin—Pixiu is revered as a symbol of wealth attraction. It is believed to bring continuous financial prosperity and fortune.
Due to its fierce and powerful appearance, Pixiu is said to feed exclusively on evil spirits and fierce beasts, offering protection and ensuring safety. This is why it is also known as "Bixie" (meaning "evil warding beast"). In ancient Chinese feng shui, Pixiu is considered a lucky creature that transforms misfortune into blessings. However, it is primarily suited for attracting unexpected wealth or benefiting those in sales-related professions, where income is variable.
How to Place Pixiu for Best Results?
When placing a Pixiu at home, its head should be facing the door or a window to attract wealth. However, it is not suitable for accumulating regular income unless paired with a pair of dragon deity seats.
Three Taboos for Placing Pixiu:

Do not place it facing the main entrance. The main door is under the domain of the door gods or the wealth god, and Pixiu does not have authority over this area. However, facing other doors is acceptable—except for the restroom door.
