Feng Shui Tips to Improve Your Health

Fresh, Good Quality Air

Very often ignored, good quality air is indeed the number one feng shui health priority. Work with feng shui air-purifying plants, open the window often to aerate the space, use essential oils to clear the air, use air purifiers, etc. Do whatever it takes to find solutions for better air in your home; breathing clean air regularly is the feng shui foundation for your health and well-being.​

Sufficient Natural Light

In addition to allowing your home to receive as much natural light as possible, it is important to be aware of the need for intelligent and smart indoor lighting. Once you focus on the quality of light in your home, you will quickly feel a shift in your health and well-being. Light is the number one nutrient, so be wise and give your body enough light nutrition. This also includes the smart use of feng shui colors, as the color is light.

A Clutter-Free Space

The very important feng shui step of clutter clearing is often ignored—or postponed—in favor of more "flashy" feng shui cures. Be serious and realize that no amount of wind chimes, good feng shui colors, or feng shui plants will negate the low, depressing energy of clutter in your home. You just have to deal with your clutter, as clutter constantly drains energy from you.

Once you have these health priorities taken care of, you can start applying more specific feng shui cures, which are based on the energy of five feng shui elements.

For example, placing lush green plants (Wood feng shui element) or a water feature (Water feng shui element) in the East Bagua area of your space will bring beneficial feng shui energy for your health.

If you cannot have plants or a water feature in your space, you can bring the energy of the needed feng shui elements with color (green or brown for the Wood element and blue or black for the Water element). You can also bring the needed elements with feng shui art depicting a body of water (river, ocean, lake, waterfalls, etc.) and/or lush greenery. Smart positioning of mirrors will also bring the Water feng shui element into your home.

Find out your Kua number and your best feng shui directions and try to re-arrange your desk and your bed so that you can face your best directions while working or sleeping.

Be mindful of the view you first see as you open your eyes (the view from your bed), as well as when you open your front door. These might sound like minor details, but they set the feng shui energy your body is receiving throughout the day. Every detail is important because our bodies register them all.

Treat your body with respect and give it the energy of beauty and joy—this will inevitably attract good health and well-being.
