This Tibetan-style Garuda Gau Pendant features Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva—the revered guardian known for compassion, steadfast vows, and fearless protection.
The outer case is shaped in the iconic form of a Tibetan Gau (Gawu): a portable protective amulet traditionally used to hold sacred images, blessings, and protective charms for travelers and practitioners.

The exterior adopts the imagery of the Garuda, a legendary bird in Himalayan culture symbolizing protection, victory over obstacles, and the power to dispel harmful forces.

Inside the window, a finely sculpted gold-tone figure of Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva sits in serene composure, symbolizing courage, guidance, and the vow to stand with all beings through difficulty.

The back of the pendant features a beautifully embossed rotating Dharma Wheel, representing movement, insight, and the continual turning of one’s path.

At 43g, the pendant has a strong, substantial presence — crafted to feel like a true guardian amulet carried close to the heart.

The Garuda Shell

Representing fearless protection, freedom, and the ability to rise above negativity. In Tibetan tradition, Garuda imagery is believed to dispel obstacles and shield one’s path.

The Gau Amulet Form

Historically used across the Himalayas as a travel charm, the Gau serves as a portable shrine, carrying blessings and symbols of protection.
Its purpose:

  • safeguard the wearer

  • accompany journeys both physical and emotional

Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva
